Sportz Calendar: Live scores
Privacy policy · Last updated 27 October 2026
Sportz Calendar needs no account, shows no adverts and does not track you. The teams and athletes you follow, your reminders and your settings stay on your own device. To show fixtures and live scores, the app asks our sports server for the competitions you follow; that server keeps nothing that identifies you.
1. Who we are
Sportz Calendar: Live scores (called Sportz Calendar in the Microsoft Store and inside the app) is published by Magnificent Apps ("we", "us", "our"), an independent app maker based in the United Kingdom. We are responsible for any personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at any time at appsmagnificent@gmail.com. Our website is magnificentapps.com.
Sportz Calendar is a sports calendar and live-score app for Windows and Android.
2. The information the app handles, at a glance
| What | Where it is kept | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Teams and athletes you follow | Your device only | Only you |
| Reminders, countdowns and alert choices | Your device only | Only you |
| Colours, wallpaper and other settings | Your device only | Only you |
| Which competitions and matches to show | Sent to the Sportz server for each request; not stored | The Sportz server, to send the data back |
| A notification token, only if you switch on live alerts | The Sportz server, until you turn alerts off | Used only to deliver the alerts you chose |
| Your Full Access or Lifetime Access purchase | Microsoft or Google | The store; the app is only told what is unlocked |
3. When the app goes online
- The Sportz server. To show fixtures, results, live scores, goal timelines, judo scores, countdowns and highlight links, the app asks our server for the competitions and matches you follow. The server runs on Cloudflare. It sees your device's IP address, as any internet connection does, and the competitions requested, so it can send the sports data back. It does not keep records that identify you. The sports data itself comes from our data providers, server to server; nothing about you is passed to them. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Live alerts. Countdown reminders are set on your own device and work offline. If you switch on live alerts (for example every goal for your teams, every ippon for your judokas, or big moments such as finals and medals), your device registers the teams or athletes you chose and a notification token from Microsoft (Windows notifications) or Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android) with the Sportz server, so it can send those alerts. The token identifies the app on your device, not you. It is used only for those alerts and is deleted when you turn alerts off.
- Highlights. Watch highlights opens the official broadcaster's or competition's page in your browser or the YouTube app. Where official highlights are shown inside the app, they play in YouTube's own embedded player, provided by YouTube (Google). When you play a video, YouTube may collect information under the Google Privacy Policy, and the YouTube Terms of Service apply. The app picks highlights for your country from your device's region setting, never from your location.
- Microsoft Store and Google Play, for purchases. See below.
Wallpaper, lock screen, widgets and reminders
If you put your week of sport on your wallpaper, lock screen or a widget, the picture is drawn on your own device and nothing is uploaded. Reminders are scheduled on your device and are restored after it restarts.
4. Permissions (Android)
- Internet and network state: to fetch fixtures and scores, and to know when you are offline.
- Notifications, exact alarms, vibrate and run at start-up: to deliver your reminders and alerts on time, including after your phone restarts.
- Set wallpaper: only when you ask the app to set your wallpaper.
- Google Play billing: so you can buy Full Access or Lifetime Access.
The app never asks for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. On Windows it uses internet access and notifications only.
5. Purchases
If you buy Full Access (by the year) or Lifetime Access (once, for good), the payment is handled entirely by Microsoft through the Microsoft Store or by Google through Google Play, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement or the Google Privacy Policy. We never see your name, card or bank details. The store only tells the app what you have unlocked.
No adverts, no tracking, no selling
- No advertising of any kind, and no advertising code inside the app.
- No analytics sdks, no tracking tools, no "pixels" and no profiling.
- We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence.
- No account, sign-in or registration is needed, now or later.
The legal side, in plain English
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), and the EU GDPR where it applies, we must explain why we are allowed to use any personal information. The Sportz server handles your IP address and the competitions you request only to send you the sports data you asked for, and to keep the service secure; this is necessary to provide the app and in our legitimate interests. If you switch on live alerts, the notification token is used because you asked for those alerts; turn alerts off at any time to stop it. If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply, which is in both our interests.
How long anything is kept
- Information on your device stays until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.
- We keep no logs that identify you. Our hosting providers may keep short-lived technical and security logs (for example, to stop attacks), under their own policies.
- Emails you send us are kept in our email account for as long as we need them to help you, and are then deleted.
Where information goes in the world
The services named in this policy (such as Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare) operate worldwide, so the little information they handle may be processed outside the United Kingdom. These companies use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum and standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit or stop how we use it, or to give you a copy. Where we rely on your permission, you can withdraw it at any time. Because the app keeps your information on your own device, we usually hold nothing about you at all, apart from any emails you send us. To make a request, email appsmagnificent@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your own country. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
For people in the United States, including California: we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Children
Sportz Calendar is suitable for everyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and the app never asks for it. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Keeping things safe
Your information stays on your device, protected by your device's own security (such as your screen lock). Whenever the app connects to the internet, the connection is encrypted (HTTPS). We never ask for passwords, card numbers or bank details.
Changes to this policy
If Sportz Calendar changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page before the change reaches you, and change the date at the top. If a change needs your permission (for example, a new device permission), the app will ask you first.
